June News

Nixia and her staff are currently at work on her collection for Fashion Week Panama 2012.  Much of the FWP 2012 collection will incorporate fabrics selected on Nixia's shopping trip in Europe a year ago. 

In addition to FWP 2012 preparations, Nixia recently completed a magazine photoshoot slated for publication across several issues starting in July.  Stay tuned for previews!

In 2010, Nixia presented at Costa Rica Fashion Week.  With the success of that Varela LaMar collection the brand will presently be available in San Jose boutiques.

Continuing the theme of the previous post, these are two more of  Nixia's looks from her recent purchasing trip.  It is interesting to see Nixia's design style reflected in her personal wardrobe: clothing and accessory choices that are both practical and chic.  Although travel limited her quantity of clothing, Nixia sacrificed nothing of style.  The designer relied on pairing basics with some of her favorite, classic accessories.

Below are additional images of Nixia Varela LaMar from her  European buying trip.  Although essentially a business trip, it is interesting to see that--even working-- the designer makes clothing and accessory choices that are both practical and chic.  As in her design work, Nixia compromises neither comfort nor style.  While traveling with a limited wardrobe, Nixia relied on matching basics and dressing them up with simple, elegant accessories in bags, belts and jewelery.
