Another Look Behind the Curtain

For many in the audience at Fashion Week Panama 2012,
it is enough to see the beauty and artistry displayed on the runway. In fact, that end result is the culmination of hundreds of hours of collaboration among designers, stylists, make-up artists, models and assistants. A fashion event does not simply spring from nothing on the runway.
For those whose curiosity is piqued, who wonder what happens behind the curtain....her is another peek. And these last frantic moments are only a tiny part of the entire process.

The Varela LaMar collection presented by Nixia at Fashion Week Panama 2012
drew inspiration from both the attire and spirit of the the Medieval
Era. Designs for the collection relied heavily upon the style of combat
attire during the period. Nixia captured the essence of the warrior
spirit in the use of multiply layered pieces as well as imported, meshed
fabrics.
