At Costa Rica Fashion Week 2010, Nixia Varela LaMar formed a valued friendship and professional relationship with Nayith Diaz of CRC Moda. Nixia was delighted that Nayith came to Fashion Week Panama 2011 to see not only her her collection, but those of talented designers from throughout the region who presented creations. Nixia wishes to thank Nayith for his support, both personal and through his publication. She looks forward to seeing him soon! |

While Nixia continues her travels to purchase fabrics and to attend a wedding, production has not ceased in Panama of her Ixi Bags and Bella Bags. These a few of the latest creations in stores now.

The FWP 2011 collection is in boutiques now. The designer will spend the next three weeks in Europe shopping for fabrics for upcoming collections and attending a wedding.

Belts! Belts! Belts!
At Fashion Week Panama, among her array of casual and evening creations, Nixia will present the newest addition to the Varela LaMar label--belts. The Varela LaMar collection at Fashion Week Panama will formally introduce the new product line to the public, although some belts are already available in select boutiques. They are perfect for adding flair and personality to simple wardrobe items!

Nixia Invited to "Nicaragua International Fashion Weekend"
Nixia has been invited to present at Nicaragua International Fashion Weekend in August of this year. The event will follow soon after Fashion Week Panama so it remains to be seen if the designer will be able to attend. However, she is grateful that event organizers value the Varela LaMar label.
